The post Hands-on with the RhinoShield CrashGuard and SolidSuit for the OnePlus 6 appeared first on BardTech.

If you’re looking for a quality case with a minimal design and maximum protection, RhinoShield has a few solutions for you to choose from. Owners of the OnePlus 6  will find that the CrashGuard and SolidSuit cases make a perfect companion for your phone. There are several different design and colors to match your OnePlus 6, whether you have the black or white version.

RhinoShield products for OnePlus 6

RhinoShield offers three different types of protection for the OnePlus 6. The SolidSuit is their full-body protection, the CrashGuard is their popular bumper design, and the three different screen protectors are the best option for display protection in combination with one of their cases.

CrashGuard

The CrashGuard bumpers are $24.99 and act as an ultra light and minimal solution for impact protection. These cases fit very snug around the OnePlus 6 phone and curve around the edges of the phone to fit the contours. The black and white color options are made specifically for the OnePlus 6 to match the colors of the phone.

For being such a minimal case, the CrashGuard offers an impressive 11 feet of impact protection. The snug fit of the bumper will ensure that your OnePlus 6 doesn’t pop out, even when you drop it. You can also rest easy knowing that your bumper will not become loose over time, like many other bumpers on the market.

The bumper includes an alter slider cover that fits perfectly over the original. The little nub shown in the photo gives you a better grip when toggling the slider.

SolidSuit

The SolidSuit cases offer a full-body protective solution starting at $29.99. There are three color options for the OnePlus 6 including Classic Black, Classic White, and Carbon Black. These cases are a single-piece shell that is made up of RhinoShield’s signature ShockSpread honeycomb design.

These cases are light and made with plastic that is soft to the touch, but offers a grippy feel when you’re holding it. All of the ports are perfectly aligned, including the over sized charging port which can fit larger adapters in it.

Pair your color choice up with your OnePlus 6 to have a phone-case combo that looks perfect. The ShockSpread design offers an impact protection of up to 11 feet, while still being ultra thin and lightweight.

Apart from the innovation in materials, the Honeycomb Structure (a hexagonal pattern lines the inner surfaces of the case, improving shock absorption by up to 10%) and the Raised Lip Design also help in protecting the phone.

Even when providing full-body impact protection, you’ll still have access to your fingerprint sensor on the back of the phone.

Screen Protector

For screen protectors, you’ll have the option of an Impact Protection Screen Protector, Impact Flex Back Protector, or Tempered Glass Screen Protector. Each solution is designed to work with your CrashGuard or SolidSuit case. If you have a CrashGuard bumper, you can also apply a back plate protective cover, so that every inch of your phone stays protected.

These screen protectors start at $19.99. Choose which screen protector is right for you and pair it with your favorite RhinoShield case for your OnePlus 6.

When you buy a RhinoShield case, you can get a screen protector 20% (discount applied in shopping cart).

  1. The One Plus 6 is a fantastic new phone from the brand that needs you to never settle. With a antimicrobial screen protector correctly connected, you'll never have to relax for a cracked screen. Do note that since of the curved edges of the One Plus 6 display, most screen protectors won't be able to cover the entire show without peeling up about the edges.

How to change the PIM of a VeraCrypt volume

The developers of VeraCrypt introduced Personal Iterations Multiplier (PIM) functionality in the encryption program in version 1.12 . PIM stands for "Personal Iterations Multiplier". It is a parameter that was introduced in VeraCrypt 1.12 and whose value controls the number of iterations used by the header key derivation function. PIM is used by volumes even if the creator of the volume did not specify a value. It is an optional component that improves security: it adds another step to the authentication process similarly to two-factor authentication. The main difference is that the PIM value is fixed and not generated on the fly when requested. An attacker needs to know the master password and the PIM, if not set to default, to breach the encryption successfully and access the content of the drive or partition. A couple of good reasons exist to change the PIM value: It was leaked or stolen. The default value is used and that is not as secure as using a custom PIM. Yo...
