AppOnBoard Demos are now integrated into Google Instant Apps . Any developer can give users the ability to play a demo version of the application before it actually ends up on the device’s internal storage. Previously, the technology was only available to AppOnBoard’s advertising partners. Now, Google has partnered with the company to bring a “Try Now” button to the Play Store. It was launched a week ago in India , and a couple of days back, Xiaomi announced its availability in 65 countries . The Poco F1 (also known as the Pocophone F1) is the first phone from Poco, a new Xiaomi sub-brand. It has a high-end list of specifications including the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 system-on-chip, 6GB/8GB of RAM with 64GB/128GB/256GB storage, 6.18-inch Full HD+ (2246×1080) notched IPS LCD with 18.7:9 aspect ratio, dual 12MP + 5MP (depth sensing) rear cameras, 20MP front-facing camera, and a 4,000mAh battery. The phone ships with MIUI 9 for Poco on top of Android 8.1 Oreo, and the company has stated that it will soon receive the Android Pie-based MIUI 10 update. Last year, Walmart acquired  outdoor retailer Moosejaw for $51 million –  a company that’s now one of several brands Walmart picked up during a speciality retail buying spree, along with ShoeBuy, Jet.com, Hayneedle, ModCloth, and Bonobos. Now, the company is making good on that purchase, as Moosejaw is the first of Walmart’s acquired brands to arrive on Walmart.com. The company will now curate its own storefront , in addition to operating its own separate site. Since its acquisition, Moosejaw began to offer customers free, two-day shipping on orders over $49, and invested in technology improvements to its own site. It also enhanced its rewards program, and reported a 50% increase in redemption rates, as a result. Amazon this morning announced the opening of its second Amazon Go convenience store, which is again located in the retailer’s hometown of Seattle. The new store is 1,450 square feet in size – a bit smaller than the first store’s 1800 square feet – and will be located at 5th and Marion in Seattle. It will feature a range of ready-to-eat breakfast, lunch, dinner and snack options, as well as Amazon’s Meal Kits. The food options will be made by Amazon chefs and various local kitchens and bakeries, the retailer notes. For example, it will stock quick snacks like chips, bars, candy and locally made chocolates, along with lunch options like salads, sandwiches, and wraps. For dinner, the Amazon Meal Kits offer all the ingredients for a home-cooked meal for two that takes about 30 minutes to prepare. When we talk about custom launchers, often people will mention the ones based on or similar to the Google Pixel Launcher. There’s Lawnchair , Lean Launcher , Rootless Pixel Launcher , Ruthless and more. Rootless Pixel Launcher is an especially interesting one in that it’s based on Android’s open source Launcher3 and merged with decompiled Pixel Launcher sources. It’s developed by Amir Zaidi, who has been working on the project since the original Google Pixel released. Lean Launcher and an upcoming Lawnchair release actually already use it as a base and add their own features on top of it. In a sense, Rootless Pixel Launcher is simply a stable software base which other developers can take and add to.
